Children’s musical: A MIDWIFE CRISIS

Sunday 30 November 3.00pm

Monday 1 December 6.00pm

Macquarie Conservatorium

Come along to the second show from our new Youth Music Theatre Workshop! In this twist on the traditional nativity story, a very busy midwife is thrilled to hear a king is about to be born nearby in Bethlehem. She sets off to help, looking for a shiny golden palace fit for a king. Her donkey Steve doesn’t think he’s ever heard of Bethlehem Palace, but who listens to a donkey? With wise men and camels, shepherds and sheep, plus a donkey or too, this seasonal musical is full of fun, action and humour, as well as catchy songs.

Our young performers aged 7 to 12 years are directed by Camilla Ward with musical direction by Raelene Burn. Ideal for families.

All tickets: $5 children / adults / concessions
Available from Conservatorium office & at the door

Each of these trial sessions will last 30 minutes, and are open to interested new students and their parents who may like to enrol in classes for 2015.

Macquarie Conservatorium’s early childhood music classes are designed to give children a positive first experience of music in a fun, relaxed and stimulating environment, and create a good basis for further development of music and other learning skills. MusicPlay classes are for pre-schoolers and their parents, and the MusicMakers class is for children aged 5-6yrs attending school or home-schooled.

Regular weekly classes in MusicPlay and MusicMakers start from February 2015 at the Conservatorium. Enrolments are open now for these classes. For more about this program, including the timetable of classes and fees, email info@macqcon.org.au
