Congratulations to Dubbo Eisteddfod contestants and organisers

Congratulations to all Macquarie Conservatorium students who performed in the City of Dubbo Eisteddfod! Of particular note are the winners of the Most Outstanding Performer awards: Brass – Jessica Hall, Wind – Cecilia de Sousa Shaw, and Vocal – Lorna Mitchell.

Over the last two weeks, our students have played and sung solo, in duets and trios, in bands, ensembles and choirs. Thank you to our Conservatorium teachers who have worked so hard preparing their students and ensembles to perform in our local eisteddfod. It takes a lot of planning and extra time, but it is so worthwhile for our students.

It is a great experience to get up and perform, and our local eisteddfod is a very important opportunity for our students, so thank you to Barbara Redgrave and the tireless team of volunteers who keep the Eisteddfod running!
