Dionne is a highly experienced teacher of piano and music theory for students of all ages, levels and interests. As well as achieving AMusA and ATCL diplomas in piano performance, Dionne has undertaken a number of short courses with Sydney Conservatorium and the Music Teachers Association in piano pedagogy, piano technique, Dalcroze Eurythmics, choral conducting and solfege/aural skills. Dionne is also trained as a physiotherapist and applies this specialised knowledge to her teaching of technique and posture at the piano.

Dionne ran a large private teaching studio in Sydney for 17 years, with a wide range of students from 5 years to adult. She has extensive experience preparing students for AMEB exams in piano and musicianship. Dionne enjoys accompanying school and church choirs and has been the piano accompanist for Wellington Amateur Theatrical Society.

Dionne joined the teaching staff of Macquarie Conservatorium in 2022.
