ROCK SCHOOL Holiday Workshop

  • Macquarie Conservatorium 72 Bultje Street Dubbo, NSW, 2830 Australia (map)

Do you want to play in a band? Do you already play in a band? School’s in these holidays for young rock musos aged 11-18 years at Macquarie Conservatorium’s ROCK SCHOOL.

Enjoy four days of afternoon workshops, playing in rock bands on your instrument – electric guitar, bass guitar, drums, vocals or keyboard. Get expert tips on playing rock music and song-writing, plus great jam sessions together as bands, with professional band players as your coaches.

At the end of the workshop, the bands will give a short showcase performance for family and friends. A great way to spend your school holidays!

Please note:

  • Some experience playing your instrument or singing is required, this is NOT for complete beginners. Instruments for this workshop are electric guitar, bass guitar, drums, vocals and keyboard.

  • You need to bring your own instrument and some equipment – a great sound system will be supplied for the showcase concert.

  • You can register as an individual and we will match you into a band, or if you already have your band organised, all band members can register and you will stay together in your band.

There are some scholarships available for indigenous students and for female students. If you’d like to be considered for one of these, tick the box on your online registration form - see link below.

This workshop can only run if we get enough participants to form bands!
So don’t delay - register NOW - and tell your friends to register too!
