Youth Chorus on stage with Opera Australia!

Fifteen young singers will perform this Saturday in Opera Australia’s production of Carmen, when it arrives on tour at Dubbo Regional Theatre. The Macquarie Conservatorium Youth Chorus has been practicing their parts in this opera since the start of term, including learning to sing in French!

They will be performing in full costume alongside a cast of professional opera singers in this very popular and exciting opera.

As Spanish street urchins, they will watch and mimic the soldiers as they change guard at the local garrison, and cheer on the arrival of the toreadors for the bullfight.

On Thursday this week they learnt all their stage moves and acting from the touring Opera Australia team and then they take to the stage on Saturday!
