2021 Concert Series starts with Duo Histoire

An innovative duo of saxophone and guitar, a sensational flautist and piano accordionist, plus outstanding chamber ensembles of strings and wind - this year’s Concert Series at Macquarie Conservatorium has a truly diverse range of high-quality artists performing inspiring music.

The series opens on Friday 5 March with Duo Histoire, one of Sydney’s finest classical ensembles. Saxophonist Nick Russoniello and guitarist Murilo Tanouye combine their talents in a broad range of repertoire, from Argentinian tango to Spanish romantic music, from Bossa Nova standards to classical duets.

The other concerts in the Series are:

4 June: Virtuoso string ensemble the Alma Moodie Quartet plays masterpieces by Beethoven and Schoenberg, led by acclaimed violinist Kristian Winther.

27 August: Madame Flute is the sensational Jane Rutter with brilliant piano accordionist Marcello Maio in an elegant program of French music.

31 October: Australia’s leading young wind players band together as Arcadia Winds, touring for Musica Viva.
