String Quartet concert this Friday 4 June

Enjoy an evening of inspiring music from the Alma Moodie Quartet, featuring four of Australia’s finest string players in an exciting new collaboration.

Violinist Kristian Winther, violinist Anna Da Silva Chen, violist Alexina Hawkins and cellist Thomas Marlin bring a fresh and fearless approach to the string quartet repertoire.

Named to honour an internationally significant Australian violinist of the 1930’s and 40’s, the Alma Moodie Quartet is committed to invigorating the classics and exploring new works.

This concert features Beethoven’s String Quartet in E minor and Schoenberg’s String Quartet in D Minor.

There is also a Masterclass with violinists Kristian Winther and Anna da Silva Chen on Saturday 5 June at 10.30am. String students, teachers and interested members of the public are all welcome to attend the masterclass as observers - entry is free.
